About me

Juan Camilo Giraldo-Mora is a scholar of technology and information systems whose research and teaching strive for novel understandings. His recent PhD research addresses the development of global payment infrastructure during its digitalisation epoch. Following process and ecological philosophy, his PhD revisits discontinuous infrastructural change and sheds light on the current unprecedented development of the global payment infrastructure. Besides research, much of his work lies in developing and supporting scholarly communities and educational systems.

Giraldo-Mora’s research, teaching, and service are present and recognised across institutions in Denmark, Colombia, and the United Kingdom, as well as global associations. Before his appointment as LSE Fellow, Juan Camilo completed his PhD studies at Copenhagen Business School. He also holds a Master’s degree from LSE in Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation (MISDI!) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Grenoble Ecole de Management. Prior to his academic career, he was part of a start-up’s executive team managing global payment systems’ financial and technological developments.
