Data Science to support building evidence-based and ethical wellbeing services

15:00-16:00, 20 May 2019, Wolfson Theatre

Abstract: We live at a historic moment, in which the unprecedented data sets about human behaviour, science, and ethics have the potential to transform human development.  Leveraging the power of data in the right way will help shape the interface between human and technology for years to come.  This talk addresses the issues of harnessing digital insights about human behavior to develop targeted tools that help people directly – in this case to live healthier and happier lives.  We present recent work at Telefonica Alpha, the first European Moonshot Factory, where we are creating a revolutionary personal health assistant under a strict ethical framework.
