Information for prospective students

Students from the East Asia region interested in applying to the London School of Economics are encouraged to check their suitability by looking at the relevant entry requirements.

English language courses

The London School of Economics Language Centre aims to prepare students from non-English speaking countries for their LSE studies.

For certain students the first step on their journey to success at LSE will require some period of English language study at the Language Centre.

An important feature of each student's application to study at LSE will be their ability to satisfy the minimum English language entry requirements. Given that all LSE degree programmes are highly demanding, students' command of English reflects on their ability to succeed in their chosen field of study.

The Language Centre has a range of specialised English language courses designed to suit the needs of students from non-English speaking countries and to help them to gain the most from their LSE study.
