Professor Emily Jackson has been quoted in the Guardian and interviewed on the Nature podcast on the latest developments in organoid research, which has involved lab-grown human brain cells transplanted into mice. Researchers hope to shed light on conditions such as schizophrenia, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability and rare forms of dementia She noted the importance of ethical treatment of animals and that the scientists involved were keen actively engage with ethical concerns, rather than treating them as a hindrance.
