Dr Luke McDonagh launched his monograph Performing Copyright: Law, Theatre and Authorship (Hart, 2021) at The Shaw Library at LSE on Wed 18th May. Professor Thomas Poole chaired a panel that featured a mixture of legal commentary by Dr Luke McDonagh and Professor Uma Suthersanen, and theatrical performances by the actor Peter Searles. The four performed theatrical pieces were from Norton and Sackville’s Gorboduc (1561), Shakespeare’s Richard II (1595), Jonson’s Bartholomew Fayre (1614) and Stoker’s Dracula (1897).
