Ratio is the annual magazine of LSE Law providing a unique insight into the diverse work of our staff and students.  Our 2018/19 edition opens with an interview with Dr Chaloka Beyani,  Associate Professor of International Law.  We learn how his academic expertise in recognising internally displaced persons as an international legal category translates into his work outside academia.  His experience as the United Nations Special Rapporteur for the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons spans the globe.   The issue introduces our New Head of Department, Professor Niamh Moloney, in conversation with Dr Paul MacMahon.  In the interview, they explore the Department’s priorities for the year ahead and examine Niamh’s legal specialism: financial market regulation. Our edition also delves into undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD and alumni news, such as taking part in the Freshfields Stephen Lawrence Scholarship Scheme; a trip to the Hague and bee-keeping!
