The CIVICA Multi-Campus Course

LSE master's students across all disciplines are invited to apply to the forthcoming CIVICA Multi-Campus Course: The Future of Europe. This extracurricular online course offers students the opportunity to collaborate with master's students across university partners in Europe to critically examine European policy challenges. This innovative online course is designed and taught jointly by a team of professors from various CIVICA universities.
CIVICA is the European University of Social Sciences, representing an alliance of ten leading European universities focusing on social sciences, humanities, business management, and public policy. LSE is an active associate member of the alliance.

What is the Future of Europe Multi-Campus Course?

The Future of Europe Multi-Campus Course explores the major challenges facing the future of Europe with particular emphasis on globalisation, democracy, innovation and digitalisation, climate change and the green transition as well as the dynamics characterising European Union policy responses in times of crisis.
Participation in this course would suit students who are interested in European International Relations, Policy, Governance and/or Media.

How does the Multi-Campus Course work?

The Future of Europe Multi-Campus Course will be delivered online synchronously for all CIVICA students across Europe. The course consists of live online lectures and a policy paper training camp. All lectures are recorded for students who are unable to attend the live sessions.
Students will work in cross-country project teams to complete a final capstone project, supported by faculty across the alliance.
Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate from the CIVICA Secretariat. Additionally, high-scoring capstone project teams will be nominated for the Boroli Prize, whereby winners will be invited to attend an in-person prizegiving ceremony at Bocconi University in Milan.

LSE students who complete this course are not eligible for extra credits or ECTS.
