William A. Callahan is Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Sensible Politics: Visualizing International Relations (OUP, 2020) is the first book-length analysis of visuality, multisensory politics, and IR, and it won the Best Book Award 2022 from the International Political Sociology section of the International Studies Association. Callahan is part of the Chinese Global Orders research project, which is funded by the British Academy (2023-26). He is working on a book-length project that explores how Chinese people see the world that has produced the following publications:

In 2019-20, Callahan was nominated for an “Innovation in Teaching” award for his “Visual International Politics” course (IR318), which integrates visual analysis and creative filmmaking.
