Careers options & strategy for 2nd year UG IR students - Thursday 28 October, 12.00-1.00pm

Thursday 28 October, 12.00-1.00pm
Room CBG 8.16

During this seminar we will consider possible career paths for second year students (joint and single honours) in the Department of International Relations, and how you can develop your own career strategy.

We will also reflect on the skills you are acquiring during your degree. Thanks to the global nature of the degree, there is much scope for students both when it comes to industry choice as well as geographically. Given this breadth, it can sometimes prove a challenge to focus your career search and work out how to sell your academic degree to attract employers.

This session will provide an overview, ideas for next steps and there will be time for questions too.

This event will be particularly useful if you:

  • are considering or keen to know more about career options
  • would like to know how to plan the next steps on your career journey.

To book a place to attend in person, visit the Career Hub.

You will also be able to join this session via Zoom (if you are not able to attend in person), please get in touch with Kirsty Whitelock, LSE Careers Consultant, who will be leading the session (k.whitelock@lse.ac.uk).
