The UN, the Private Sector, and Human Security Partnerships

How can the private sector play a role in addressing insecurity and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals?

Thank you for organising the event! The session was very informative and I really enjoyed it.

Audience feedback on Twitter

This event explored 'human security' - a person centred approach to ensuring people around the world can live free from fear, want, and indignity.

Yukio Takasu, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Adviser on Human Security, explained the origins of the idea and why the private sector has an important role to play, while LSE IDEAS' Mary Martin spoke about the United Nations at LSE project's work on developing a business partnership framework.
