LSE Athens Lectures
The LSE Athens Lectures is a flagship public engagement series of the LSE Centre for Research on Contemporary Greece and Cyprus, bringing leading LSE research and ideas to audiences in Athens for open, accessible and research-informed discussion of issues of national and global importance. The series creates a space for dialogue between LSE academics, Greek scholars and the wider public, combining international research and perspectives with discussion of issues that matter to Greece and beyond.
Between 2014 and 2021, the series presented 24 lectures, featuring 60 speakers and discussants and attracting more than 5000 attendees. Following its relaunch in 2025/26, the series entered a new phase in partnership with the Department of Business and Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, continuing its tradition of bringing rigorous research into public conversation.
The LSE Athens Lectures are made possible through this significant institutional collaboration and the valued support of our sponsors, whose contribution helps sustain the series and create a distinctive space where research, ideas and public debate come together.
