Your MSc Programme Support Team is your key administrative contact throughout your studies. They work closely with academic colleagues to support your programme and are here to answer questions, provide guidance, and help with:

• Assessments, marks and feedback
• LSE regulations and procedures
• Student consultation and feedback
• Academic and social events
• Your overall student experience

Monika Walker and Kelly Harrings, the Department's Student Advice and Support Managers, provide confidential advice and support throughout your time at LSE.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, need help understanding regulations and processes, want to develop your study skills, or simply need someone to talk things through with, they're here to help.

You can contact them at gov.support@lse.ac.uk or book an in-person or online appointment through Student Hub. All discussions are confidential.

Your Academic Mentor is your main academic point of contact within the Department. They will support your academic development and help you make the most of your time at LSE.

Your mentor can help you reflect on your academic progress, discuss course choices, explore future plans, and navigate university life. You'll be assigned a mentor during Welcome and encouraged to meet with them regularly throughout your studies.

If you need specialist advice or support, your mentor can also help connect you with the right people and services across LSE.

Your feedback helps shape the student experience in the Department.

Student Academic Representatives (Academic Reps) are elected each year to represent their peers, raise suggestions for improvement, and work with staff to enhance teaching, learning, and student life.

Elected early in the Autumn Term, Academic Reps represent students at Departmental and School-level committees, ensuring that student views are heard and acted upon.

The LSE Government Society is a student-led community that brings students together through social events, academic activities, and discussions with political thinkers from within and beyond LSE.

Membership is open to Government students and anyone at LSE with an interest in politics.
