A new international study led by Dr Ganga Shreedhar, Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science, reveals that while public awareness of the sixth mass extinction is low, support for action is remarkably high. The findings highlight a significant opportunity for policymakers, communicators, and environmental organisations to engage the public and drive transformative change.

How citizens pay attention to climate and nature is not well understood. Working with the Gallup World Poll, the purpose of the global climate and nature barometer project is to collect internationally comparable data and understand citizens' views now and over time.
