About me

Joseph Ganderson is a research officer on the SOLID project (Sovereignty, Solidarity and Identity in the EU post-2008), working with Prof. Waltraud Schelkle. Here, he primarily works on the impact of Brexit on the EU and broader questions of membership facing the emerging, turbulent European polity. He is a contributing member to SOLID’s survey and interviewing methods groups.

His background is in comparative and international political economy, with a particular interest in banking, finance and taxation. He completed his doctorate on the comparative politics of post-crisis structural banking reforms in Europe at the European University Institute (EUI) under the supervision of Prof. Pepper Culpepper. He holds an MRes from the EUI, an MA in International Political Economy from King’s College London and a BA in International Relations and Politics from the University of Sheffield.
