LSE does more than ask how the world can be better. It prepares people to go out and take part in changing it. That is exactly what the European Institute does. I arrived with an interest in European affairs and left with something even more valuable: the ability to understand institutions, politics and power across borders, to question assumptions and think independently, and the confidence to speak with authority in rooms far beyond what I could have imagined so early in my career. Soon after, I was in West Africa representing Italian public institutions in meetings with ambassadors, ministers, and senior officials. I am immensely proud to now serve on LSE’s Global Alumni Board and contribute to an institution that changed the course of my life.
