Niklas is an MRes Economics student on the MRes/PhD Economics programme in the Department of Economics. His primary research interests are political economy, economic history, and organisational economics. In particular, he works on understanding the development of state capacity, and often collects and digitizes primary archival material to this end. 

Niklas holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Management and Economics from Zeppelin University.
