Becoming a predoc at LSE's Research Centres
The research centres (Centre for Economic Performance, Centre for Macroeconomics, and Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines (STICERD)) advertise positions for predoctoral research assistants (“predocs”) on the LSE’s recruitment website throughout the year.
Such jobs are usually listed as “Research Assistant” roles for a fixed term of 12 months initially, and will make clear the research areas of interest.
Successful applicants must have an undergraduate and/or master’s degree in economics or a closely related discipline, alongside well-developed quantitative skills and experience using statistical software such as Stata, R, or Python.
