Dr Tim Leunig appointed Lib Dem peer

The Department of Economic History is delighted to congratulate our former colleague and long-term friend, Tim Leunig, on being nominated to join the House of Lords as a working Liberal-Democrat peer.

Tim’s academic career was here with us in the department. Many cohorts of students will remember having been inspired, and entertained, by his teaching in the first year core course EH101. Alongside this, he has had a long and influential career as a civil servant in many key departments, including Education and HM Treasury, and has worked for various think tanks and as an economic consultant.
