The Data Science Institute welcomes you to LSE!

The DSI works to cultivate a data science community at LSE and offer students opportunities for professional and personal growth beyond the classroom.

We organise a range of fantastic student events including careers talks from industry experts and trips to meet data scientists working in exciting places. We also host a rich public events programme bringing AI and data science specialists to share their knowledge.

DSI taught module options

The DSI delivers four modules that are available to undergraduate students across the School. These modules are at the cutting edge of current data science concepts.

I studied DS202A and DS205 as my outside options during my BSc in Economics. These were two of the most practical and valuable modules I had the opportunity to study at LSE. Several things set DSI and its courses apart, but the most significant is their exceptional faculty. The professors, class teachers and support staff were consistently supportive, encouraging, and deeply engaged with the courses. I genuinely believe that the professors at DSI are among the most passionate educators I have had the privilege of learning from.
