Course introduction
Objectives and values of CLCB for people in business
We understand what it takes to succeed in China and we want to help.
This executive course is designed for leaders to grasp the absolute essentials for effective communication with China, one of the largest markets in the world. Relationship is everything in Chinese culture. This course does not only teach Mandarin at different levels, but it also tackles core cultural nuances that can often make or break a deal. Along with structured content, it offers monthly networking opportunities and communication tactics according to students' specific industries. An optional study trip to Tsinghua University in Beijing with scholarship is available.
Intakes
There are 2 intakes per year for this programme - March and October. Each intake is capped at 30 students in total across 6 levels. Places are offered on a rolling basis. Your place is secured only when your payment is completed.

1. Business Mandarin
Delivered by our experienced Mandarin teachers, you will have a combination of face-to-face, online and mobile learning methods to ensure you achieve the best learning outcomes. Our blended teaching approach is communicative and engaging. We understand revision sessions and make-up lessons are key for busy people, therefore this course is designed with such features in place.
2. Intercultural communication & business masterclass
The intercultural communication element of the programme address core values of Chinese culture and its communication styles. In addition, guest speakers at executive level will provide Business Masterclasses to share their unique experiences and advice on doing business in China successfully.
3. Global networking & events
From China Business Briefings to Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, lectures and events are designed to optimise the learning experience and networking opportunities. There are plenty of opportunities for students to mingle with native speakers, as well as connecting with like-minded people in business.
4. China study trip (optional)
The 2-week study trip in Beijing is a series of tailor-made, intensive Chinese language learning. It includes 3 hours of language learning per day, culture talks, weekend field trips and networking events with Chinese counterparts. Your tuition fees, cultural tours and excursion for the study trip are sponsored. We also offer pre-departure training.
Weekly classes happen once a week from 18:30-20:30 (the first half an hour will be revision of the previous class). Full immersion day is on the first Saturday of each month at LSE from 10:00-16:00: Mandarin HSK exam training in the morning, intercultural communications and/or with business masterclass in the afternoon.

£2,507.50 - Early-bird applications with a 15% discount before 11 Jan 2019
Programme fees include tuition fee and course materials, online learning support, Saturday lunches, wine receptions and all other activities. It also includes administration fees related to the scholarship for the optional study trip to Tsinghua University. CIBL will help you to apply for the scholarship. If you are successful, the tuition fee, cultural tours and excursion in China will be covered by Hanban.
