Research Topic: Contemporary Christianity, lived Catholicism, study of religion and lay vocation.
I am a PhD candidate at LSE in the Department of Anthropology funded by an ESRC Studentship and an award from the Theological Trust, Kings College London (KCL). Before starting my PhD journey, I worked as a researcher for Britain’s leading religion and society think tank, Theos. I hold an MSc in Social Anthropology (Religion in the Contemporary World) from LSE and a BA in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics from Kings College London.
My current research ethnographically investigates lay vocation and spiritual formation, as central forms of contemporary Catholic practice in relation to the anthropology of Christianity. In addition to developing my doctoral research, I am passionate about exploring anthropologically led questions regarding religious belief and practice in relation to current societal attitudes towards religion. I enjoy engaging in this conversation in the public domain through regular radio interviews, a podcast that I co-host, and blog writing.
