Will you help nurture the brightest minds?

I was fortunate to receive a partial grant at a time before tuition fees were introduced, and that support made a lasting difference to my life. This is why I choose to give monthly to the Scholarship Fund - it is a meaningful way for me to support today’s students.

One of LSE’s unique strengths is our diverse and global community – those who join us from all corners of the globe and all walks of life, bringing new perspectives to society’s greatest challenges. With the sharp increases in the cost-of-living, and student maintenance loans not increasing with the rate of inflation, more students than ever are needing help to bridge the gap between their loans and living costs

Demand for scholarships is increasing every year, and for every student awarded a scholarship last year, there were another four students LSE could not support financially. We simply cannot meet the need for scholarships without the generosity of our alumni and friends

Will you donate to our Scholarship Fund before 31 July to help a student to take up their place this September? Students like Hisham and Antoinette-Rita who, without a New Futures Fund Scholarship, would have found it difficult to take up their place at LSE.

Three years ago, I was awarded a New Futures Fund Scholarship – and it changed my life. The Scholarship didn’t just give me the financial means to take up my place. It gave me the freedom to study without panic, to pursue internships without sacrificing my learning, to lead, to mentor, and to grow.

I see first-hand how the kindness of our donor community opens a world of opportunity for the brightest students from a range of backgrounds. But demand for financial support is at an all-time high.

James Ringer, Head of Scholarships and Financial Support, LSE

This year alone, scholarship applications from our undergraduate offer holders grew by 13%, with more than a third now needing additional financial assistance in order to be able to live and study in London. A gift of any size to the Scholarship Fund before 31 July will help us create New Futures Fund Scholarships for the most deserving students this September.

As a member of the LSE community, your choice to support the Scholarship Fund this summer shows a commitment to breaking down financial barriers that an increasing number of our talented students are facing. Your generosity will ensure they can thrive at LSE and beyond

By donating today, you will help to provide another scholarship for a talented student who has worked hard to earn their place at LSE, but who, without a helping hand, will find it difficult to accept their offer this September.
