PhD Topic: Establishing and Assessing High Consequence Listening in Organisations
PhD Supervisors: Dr Tom Reader and Professor Alex Gillespie
Alyssa's PhD explores how people within organisations respond to ethical and safety-related concerns. She is also interested in how we can better encourage listening to problems within institutions and the linkages between speaking up, its responses, and organisational culture. Before her PhD, Alyssa worked at University College London, investigating how intensive care doctors make antibiotic decisions before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. She obtained her MSc in Organisational and Social Psychology with distinction from the LSE and her dual-degree bachelor's at Western University/Ivey Business School in Honours Business Administration and Honours Psychology.
