About me

I joined the Department of Mathematics at LSE in September 2020 as an Operations Research Fellow (an early career academic). I received my PhD in Economics and Computation from the University of Liverpool in December 2017 and, since then, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Economics (2017 - 2019) and an Adjunct Lecturer in Operation Management (2019 - 2020) at King's College London.

Most recently, I have been focusing on the design of voting mechanisms that further enhance democracy by boosting citizens’ involvement in collective decision making. I have also been exploring the potential of distributed ledgers technology in voting, data markets and other applications for society. I also enjoy writing policy articles around economics, innovation, technology, and resource management, with socio-political implications.

In May 2018, I was invited to give evidence to the UK parliamentary treasury committee on digital currencies. Since then, I have attended European Parliament discussions and UK government advisory boards on how to further proceed with such emerging technologies.

My main general research interests lie in the areas of economics, algorithms operations research, distributed ledger technology and public policy.
