
About
Martina is a Research Officer at the International Inequalities Institute and the Geographic Data Science Lab at the University of Liverpool. Her research focuses on economic inequalities, regional development, climate change, technological change, globalisation, and institutions. She is the co-director of the Economics of Environmental Inequality research programme and a researcher at STICERD's Cohesive Capitalism programme.
Martina completed her PhD at the LSE's Department of Geography and Environment, and was a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow. She also served as a teaching and research associate at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where she conducted research on regional inequality, migration, and environmental hazards. Beyond academia, she has experience as a consultant in sustainable development at the Asian Development Bank and completed a research project on gender inequality for the United Nations Development Programme.
