Mayor of Athens imagines cities of the future at the Delphi Economic Forum

Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis talks with Jean-Louis Missika, deputy Mayor of Paris (2014-2020) about new policies to make cities more liveable and sustainable.

Cities are very much on the front-line of the refugee crisis, the global pandemic, and the climate change emergency. The two major European capitals of Athens and Paris have introduced new policies that aim to make their cities more liveable and sustainable. What can they learn from each other to make their urban citizens lead more equitable, healthier and greener lives?

Professor Ricky Burdett will moderate a conversation titled Thriving Amid Turbulence: imagining the cities of the future, between Kostas Bakoyannis, Mayor of Athens and Jean Louis Missika, deputy Mayor of Paris (2014-2020). The event will take place on Thursday 7 April at 10.05 as part of the 2022 Delphi Economic Forum.
