LSE Cities Scholarships and Bloomberg Scholarships for Public Service

Funding opportunities for Executive MSc in Cities applicants of all nationalities

The LSE Cities Scholarships and Bloomberg Scholarships for Public Service are intended to provide financial assistance to outstanding Executive MSc in Cities applicants who would not otherwise be able to meet the full cost of tuition.

As only a limited number of awards are available, we use a selection process that considers both the quality of the applicant and their financial need. The former will be judged on the information provided in the programme application (submitted through LSE Graduate Admissions) and the latter will be assessed according to information provided in the Executive MSc in Cities Scholarship Application Form.

The deadline to apply to the 2023/24 LSE Cities Scholarships and Bloomberg Scholarships for Public Service has now passed. Details of the next cycle of funding will be published in December 2023.

Details of the support available and the scholarship application process can be found below.

How to apply

The LSE Cities Scholarships and Bloomberg Scholarships for Public Service share the same application process. The programme team will decide which scheme applicants are considered for based on their professional background and amount of financial assistance sought.

In order to be considered for one or both schemes, applicants will need to complete BOTH of the steps below by 12.00 (noon) on Wednesday 3 May 2023

Step 1: Programme Application

As part of the programme application process, applicants will be asked to provide details of two referees. These referees will be automatically sent a reference request by LSE Graduate Admissions. Both referees must respond to this request by 12.00 (noon) on Thursday 4 May 2023 in order for the scholarship application to be considered.
