Rosa was Events Coordinator at the Middle East Centre. Prior to joining in April 2018, Rosa had worked for over three years as Communications and Events Officer at The Arab British Centre where she immersed herself in the Arab arts and culture scene in London and the UK. She was previously Membership and Information Officer at the Council for Arab British Understanding (CAABU). Rosa also collaborates with Lon-art, a London-based organisation that promotes art, culture and languages through education workshops and community events.

After completing her BA in Translation and Interpreting in English and Arabic, Rosa lived in Cairo for two years, working at the Spanish Embassy in Cairo, at the UNDP and at the Instituto Cervantes. In 2013, she earned an MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from SOAS, University of London. Her dissertation focused on the use of cinema as a propaganda tool under Nasser’s Egypt.

Rosa's main responsibility was managing and coordinating the Centre’s events programme.
