Dr Tatiana Flessas was recently interviewed on BBC Scotland and BBC Radio Wales about the recent controversy between the Prime Ministers of the UK and Greece about the Parthenon Sculptures. She noted that the conflict is long-standing and more political than legal in nature, and that the calls for the Sculptures to be reunified are in keeping with international opinion on the treatment of important objects of cultural heritage.  Given the fluidity of culture and cultural investments, she noted that perhaps property rights aren’t the best means by which to allocate cultural artefacts.
