General information

  • From January 2024, the following essential upgrade projects will take place at High Holborn Hall of Residence:

Reception Upgrade: Complete upgrade including public foyer, Reception and the back office. This will deliver a modern Reception facility for guests and residents.

Accessible Room Refurbishments: Complete refurbishment of 3 flats on the mezzanine level to provide improved and flexible accessible accommodation for our guests.

LSE and our Contractor will work to minimise the impacts on guests, however, some disruption is expected due to the nature of the projects. For both projects, there will be some noise in the adjacent flats while work takes place and construction workers will be visible in the hall. Working hours are generally 8am to 5pm, with noisy working (e.g. drilling etc) only permitted between the hours of 10am and 4pm to reduce the disruption as far as possible. While the Reception Upgrade takes place, temporary arrangements will be made to enable the team to continue to provide all reception services to guests.

  • High Holborn Residence offers single, twin, and double rooms with shared facilities.
  • Each room has its own washbasin, storage space, desk, and lamp.
  • Rooms are grouped in cluster flats for four to six people, sharing a kitchen and bathroom facilities. There are also a number of en suite bedrooms.
  • Breakfast is included in the fees.

Notes: none of the rooms are air-conditioned; electrical sockets are UK three-pin sockets, you may need an adaptor for your electrical items, view more information about UK sockets.
