GO LSE Short‑Term Study

GO LSE Short‑Term Study offers LSE students the chance to take part in high‑quality academic and cultural programmes abroad during the summer. These short‑term opportunities provide a flexible way to gain global experience, develop academic interests, and enhance employability through meaningful international engagement.

This opportunity is delivered as part of the Hermes Li Global Initiative through the Global Experience Award, providing funding support for participation in short-term global experiences.

Applications for our partner summer schools and funding are now closed. Further information about available summer programmes and eligibility will be made available in Autumn 2026.
  • Current LSE Year 1 and Year 2 undergraduate students are eligible to apply
  • Students must meet the academic and eligibility requirements set out in the application form (please see below).

GO LSE Short‑Term Study programmes were supported through the Hermes Li Global Initiative, with partial funding available to help reduce financial barriers.

Grants of £500 or £850 were available, depending on eligibility and financial circumstances

  • Funding aims to make a meaningful contribution towards participation costs
  • Funding is competitive and not guaranteed

Funding can contribute towards:

  • Programme tuition fees
  • Travel costs
  • Accommodation
  • Visa or immigration fees (if applicable)

Join Summer University Warsaw for a practical business and management programme running:

  • 6 – 17 July 2026

Programme Highlights

  • Structured programme of four core modules plus one elective
  • Core topics include:
    • International business management
    • Global strategy
    • Product & brand management
    • AI in management
  • Choose one elective module:
    • Startup Entrepreneurship
    • Creative Problem-Solving & Design Thinking
  • Small‑group teaching and applied learning
  • Classes Monday–Friday, 9:00–14:15

Costs

  • Tuition: €1,350 (before 30 April 2026) or €1,550 (before 30 June 2026)
  • Optional housing: €220 (12 nights, shared room)
  • Additional costs: travel, insurance, transport, meals

Study in Berlin through HU Summer School, offered in:

  • Session 1: 15 June – 10 July 2026
  • Session 2: 13 July – 7 August 2026

Programme Highlights

  • Hands-on, practical courses taught in English
  • Choice of disciplines including politics, urban studies, history, culture, law, leadership, economics, and German language
  • Free cultural activities exploring Berlin
  • International student cohort

Costs

  • Tuition: €160
  • Course fee: €795 - €1650 depending on course
  • Additional costs: housing, travel, insurance, meals, visa (if applicable)
