LSE financial support - Overseas students

The School provides generous financial support, in the form of bursaries and scholarships to all students. As the terms of the UK’s exit agreement from the EU are finalised, LSE will continue to make funding available to all students regardless of fee status.

Each year LSE awards a number of scholarships, funded by private or corporate donations. The number, value, eligibility criteria and type of scholarships vary from year to year.

All scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial circumstances in the first instance, and secondly take into account academic merit.

How to apply

Once you have an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) to attend LSE, you should submit by email to financial-support@lse.ac.uk the following:

  • LSE Undergraduate Scholarship Application form

  • One academic reference - this can be sent by you together with your scholarship application, or it can be sent to us separately by your referee

  • Supporting documents - this will vary dependent on the information you have provided; further guidance can be found in the scholarship application form

The deadline for the receipt of LSE Undergraduate Scholarship Applications for offer holders with Overseas fee status is: 2 May 2022 (extended from 28 April 2022).

All scholarship application decisions will be sent by email by the end of July 2022. Please ensure that our domain name - lse.ac.uk - is added to your safe senders list and routinely check your junk/spam folders.

By submitting your completed LSE Undergraduate Scholarship Application, you will be considered for any LSE scholarships for which you are eligible. Scholarships that are to be awarded to new students joining LSE in the 2022/23 academic year:
