Student Ball 2026 FAQs

The Statistics Student Ball is being held at The Waldorf Hilton, Aldwych, London WC2B 4DD on Friday 27 March 2026 from 6.30pm until midnight.
You will be sent a link to the online store by our communications team. Please keep an eye on your inbox for the invitation email.
A few days before the event, those who have signed up will be sent a personal entry ticket with a unique QR code for entry to the Ball.
Your ticket to the Statistics Ball is highly subsidised by the Department of Statistics and will only cost £50pp! This is amazing value for an event at the prestigious Waldorf in London.
You will get the following included in that price:
- A welcome drink on arrival. Alcoholic and non alcoholic options will be available
- ️A three course sit down meal
- Alcoholic and soft drinks available
- Games tables such as air hockey
- A 360 photobooth
- ️Drinks token to use on a alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks
- A professional photographer capturing the evening. All images will be available on Flickr afterwards, but please email statistics.communications@lse.ac.uk if you do not want your photo to be shared
- A DJ and a dancefloor
No. We cannot accommodate guests at this event. This is for Department of Statistics students only.
The event is step-free and has accessible bathrooms (which can also be used as gender neutral facilities if needed). Please do let us know if there is anything we can do to accommodate for any access needs you might have and we will do our best to ensure the event is a safe and inclusive space for all attending.
All dietary requirements will be catered for. Please remember to inform us of your requirements when booking your ticket online.

The reception starts at 6.30pm prompt.
Unfortunately the tickets are non-refundable. However, you are welcome to contact statistics.communications@lse.ac.uk to discuss your circumstances.
Our dress code is Dress To Impress! It’s a special occasion, so let’s take this opportunity to dress the part. This is your chance to get your fancy dresses and suits on and dust off your party shoes. Feel free to express yourself in a way that you feel comfortable with.
Very casual attire such as jeans, trainers, hoodies, flip flops, sports wear or caps are not suitable for the ball. Feel free to wear traditional cultural attire, a suit, a dress or a tuxedo.

We are awaiting confirmation on whether the LSESU's Participation Fund will be available to help with the cost of attending this event.
