Dr Gelly Mitrodima's Eden Development Fellowship scheme success

Dr Gelly Mitrodima's project 'With intention: building inclusive mentoring and teaching support in quantitative disciplines' has secured an Eden Development Fellowship.

The Eden Development Fellowship is a scheme run by the LSE Eden Centre that supports colleagues to carry out projects in innovative teaching, scholarship, and pedagogy. Fellows become part of a growing community of practice at LSE and work with the Eden Centre to produce outputs that benefit the wider LSE community.

Gelly's project aims to develop sustainable support structures for students in the Department of Statistics across two strands: teaching support for Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) and Guest Teachers (GTs), and academic mentoring. It will build on the Academic Mentoring Community of Practice and the GTAs/GTs Training and Development Programme she has established over the past two years.

A celebratory lunch took place with Prof Emma McCoy and Dr Claire Gordon on 29 September, to award Gelly the certificate and recognise the achievement.
