Come and pick up your Departmental gifts! Please try to collect during the relevant time/event. If you are unable to do so, we will let you know how you may be able to get these once term has begun.

 

 

Social Policy Welcome Reception- 5.30pm-7.30pm, SDR, OLD Building, Campus map

A first opportunity for all new incoming students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) to socialise over some refreshments and to introduce yourselves to one another and members of Faculty and the Programmes Support Team.

My Education


MSc ISPP Induction- 9.30am-11.00am, Auditorium, CBG, Campus map

This compulsory session will give you an introduction to the MSc International Social and Public Policy and provide you with all the key information you need as you embark on your first steps as an LSE Social Policy Masters student. You will hear from key members of Faculty including your Programme Director and meet your Programmes Support Team.

 

MSc Lunch- 11.00am-12.00pm, Auditorium, CBG, Campus map

A chance for you to meet your fellow new MSc students over lunch – get to know each other and start making friends and connections!

 

MSc Criminal Justice Policy Induction- 12.00pm-2.00pm, CBG 1.03, Campus map

This compulsory session will give you an introduction to the MSc Criminal Justice Policy, and provide you with all the key information you need as you embark on your first steps as an LSE Social Policy Masters student. You will hear from some key members of Faculty including your Programme Director and meet your Programmes Support Team.

Race Matters Breakfast- 9.00am-11.00am, Shaw Library, OLD Building, Campus map

Find out what the Department is doing to break down racial barriers at LSE, decolonise the curriculum and how you can get involved in the Race Matters initiative!

 

MSc Social Policy Support session- 11.30pm-1.00pm, Sheikh Zayed Theatre, CKK, Campus map

Your wellbeing and taking care of yourselves is very important.  At this compulsory session, you will hear all about the various support services and resources to support your mental health and wellbeing, both within the Department and more broadly at LSE. You will receive tips and suggestions about how to manage your wellbeing whilst you navigate your studies this year, and where to go if you need some help. You can also find out about how the Department will be supporting you to develop your academic skills, and professional skills for after your degree.

 

MSc Mentor Groups Introduction- 1.30pm-3.30pm, Auditorium, CBG, Campus map

At this compulsory session you will find out about your Mentor Group, start to discuss how you will work together.

 

 

MSc Treasure Hunt- 3.30pm-4.30pm

Get together with your Mentor Group and embark on a treasure hunt in the area of London close to campus! This is a great way to explore your new campus neighbourhood, whilst working as a team to solve clues as you race against the clock… and the other teams!

A chance for some guidance and tips for MSc course selection, and to ask any burning questions that have not already been answered by other sessions and in Course Selection emails and information. Please attend the session dedicated to your Programme, so that we can address specifics of your particular degree regulations!

My Next Steps

 

MSc ISPP Fudan hybrid meeting with Fudan- 9.00am-10.00am , SPMR, OLD 2.21, Campus map and online.

This compulsory meeting will allow LSE-Fudan Double Degree MSc ISPP students to meet with the Programme team at Fudan, get all the key information they need and ask any questions they may have about the Fudan part of their Double degree.

Students can attend either in person or online. A zoom link will be emailed to all LSE-Fudan Double Degree MSc ISPP students a day before the meeting.
