The Economics of Education: EdTech and Gender

This workshop delves into the intersection of education, technology, and gender, showcasing cutting-edge research on how EdTech can help bridge gender gaps in learning outcomes. It will bring together leading scholars and practitioners to explore the latest evidence on technology-driven interventions, financial incentives, and literacy programs that empower students and foster equitable access to education.

By highlighting innovative strategies—ranging from personalized learning technologies to conditional cash transfers—this event aims to foster a dialogue on the role of digital tools in shaping the future of education. Participants will engage in discussions on the effectiveness of EdTech policies, the challenges of scaling interventions, and the broader implications for economic and social mobility.

Hosted by the Women in Social and Public Policy Research Hub (WISPPRH), LSE, this half-day workshop provides a unique platform for academics, policymakers, and education professionals to exchange insights, discuss policy implications, and chart a path toward more inclusive and impactful educational practices.
