Research topic:
I am a PhD candidate at the Social Policy Department. I studied economics at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) and hold a Master's degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Economic Policy from the London School of Economics.
I have worked as a researcher at the Observatory of Development and the Institute of Research in Economics at the University of Costa Rica, as well as for the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO-Costa Rica). I have taught Public Finance at the UCR and Economic Development at the National University of Costa Rica, and served as an Economic Advisor for the Costa Rican Congress and the Presidency of the Republic of Costa Rica.
Research interests:
My research interests are family economics, economic development, public policy evaluation, and crime economics. Feel free to reach out, I'm always happy to chat or share a coffee.
