Best paper award for PhDs at the Meeting of the Norwegian Association of Economists

Congratulations to NHH PhD candidate Pallavi Prabhakar and LSE PhD candidate Diwakar Kishore (co-author) for winning the Best Paper Award at the Meeting of the Norwegian Association of Economists (47th edition of "Samfunnsøkonomenens forskermøte”)

In their research paper, they examined how citizens in some of India’s poorest districts respond when they receive clear, fact-based information about the declining quality of local public services. Their findings have implications for 250 million Indians in most-underperforming districts and highlight how prior beliefs mediate effectiveness of transparency programs.
