Our SPP students joined participants from across the GPPN network, which is comprised of eight of the world’s most prestigious policy schools, to connect, network and discuss the conference theme ‘policy challenges in an ever more divided world’.

As part of the annual conference competition, attendees had the opportunity to work in teams to put their policy skills into practice by developing projects relating to an important policy challenge identified as contentious in today’s divided societies.
Our four SPP teams selected projects which addressed a range of global policy issues including aiding refugees inclusion through skill development, combating child malnutrition in Ecuador and transition for Australia’s coal communities.
The selected teams had the opportunity to present their projects and receive feedback from the Deans of the GPPN schools, including LSE School of Public Policy Dean Andres Velasco, as well as a network of policy students from around the world.
A special congratulations to team Plan Raíz, Ignacio Santa María, Valentina Alarcón Chávez, Om Nagle, María Angélica Trujillo Cadena and Josefina Movillo, whose project about combating chronic child malnutrition in Ecuador was recognised as a runner-up in the competition.
