Master of Public Policy students showcase real-world policy solutions at annual MPP Symposium
Congratulations to our Master of Public Policy (MPP) students, who recently concluded their nine-month programme by presenting their Public Policy Applications projects at the annual MPP Symposium.
The symposium marked the culmination of months of collaborative research, analysis and policy development undertaken in partnership with leading organisations including UNESCO, the World Bank Group, the African Development Bank and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
Bringing together students, faculty and external partners, the event provided an opportunity for students to present evidence-based policy recommendations and demonstrate the analytical, research and communication skills developed throughout the programme.
Reflecting the global nature of the MPP cohort, projects explored a wide range of policy challenges affecting communities around the world. Topics included gender equality and pension systems in Latin America, disinformation and artificial intelligence, energy transitions in low and middle-income countries, growth and trade in Africa, transport policy in London, and access to higher education for refugees.
The symposium serves as a defining milestone in the MPP journey, allowing students to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the programme to real-world policy challenges while working closely with external organisations.
The event concluded with a celebration dinner recognising the cohort's achievements and the strong connections formed throughout their time at the School.
Congratulations to the MPP Class of 2026 on their hard work, dedication and achievements. We look forward to celebrating with them once again at graduation.
