On 30 September, we hosted the launch event for the new Jeremy Coller Centre for Animal Sentience at LSE. The recording of the event is now available online.

The launch event included opening remarks from LSE Philosophy Professor Roman Frigg, LSE President and Vice Chancellor Larry Kramer as well as Jeremy Coller himself, followed by a panel discussion.

Our panelists Jonathan Birch (inaugural Director of the Jeremy Coller Centre and Professor at LSE Philosophy), Kristin Andrews (York University, Toronto), Leonie Bossert (University of Vienna), Jeff Sebo (New York University), and Jane Lawton (Earth Species Project) discussed how rapid advances in AI can bring major benefits for animal welfare while also posing serious risks if left unregulated.

You can listen to the Podcast of the launch event on the LSE website - or watch the recording on YouTube.
