I am an LSE fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I am also a member of the LSE Financial History Group and affiliated with the Center for Research in Economics at UCLouvain Saint-Louis - Bruxelles.
My research focuses on monetary regimes, financial and trade networks and how they are intertwined. I also focus on the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). My period of focus is the late nineteenth century as the factors I am analysing experienced major changes at that time. Dissecting the causes of such changes is my prime interest.
I hold a PhD in Economics from UCLouvain Saint-Louis - Bruxelles (supervisor: Alexandre Girard) and Université Libre de Bruxelles (supervisor: Kim Oosterlinck)
