Bio
Dr Saipriya Kamath is an Associate Professor (Education) at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she also serves as the Programme Director of the BSc in Accounting and Finance. She conducts research on use of AI in education, pensions, taxation, and corporate governance.
Dr. Kamath also provides research-driven consulting services to government organizations. She has advised the European Parliament on the role of tax intermediaries in tax evasion and consulted with India’s Ministry of Finance on initiatives to simplify the tax code and promote entrepreneurship through tax incentives.
Her research was instrumental in the establishment of the 'Cali Fund'—a unique multilateral fund that channels finance from private-sector users of generic data into biodiversity conservation.
She earned her PhD from the Indian School of Business in 2016.
