Runpu is a PhD Economics candidate in the Department of Economics. His primary research interest is macroeconomics.

Before joining the programme, he interned as an analyst at the People's Bank of China, Huatai Securities, and the Export-Import Bank of China.

Runpu holds an MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from LSE, an MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from King's College London.
