Peter Murphy is a Research Fellow at LSE Health.

His research focuses on economic evaluation, health technology assessment and decision modelling involving both methodological and applied research. He previously worked as a Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Economics working in the Global Health team. Prior to this, he worked as a Health Economics Research fellow in the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination, University of York working extensively on the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) technology appraisal programme.

Peter obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in health economics from the University of York. He has previously acted as a health economics consultant for the World Health Organization and LSE Health and has published in leading academic journals including The Lancet.
