About

Moritz Schnorpfeil is a PhD student focussing on political philosophy. In particular, he is interested in political-philosophical questions to do with radically innovative technologies such as AI. Is there anything wrong with private individuals creating such innovation without public deliberation or approval? What could a suitable process of public deliberation and approval look like? How might society evaluate the desirability of an innovation path?

He holds bachelor degrees in Business Administration (St Gallen) and Philosophy, Politics & Economics (Oxford) and a master degree in Political Philosophy (Pompeu Fabra). Prior to pursuing his PhD, he spent a few years working in management consulting and startups.
