About
Mora is Communications Manager for the AFSEE programme, leading on communications strategy and public-facing activities; media, brand, events and research promotion.
Mora is a communications and storytelling specialist with a background in TV journalism. For 12 years she worked in current affairs and documentaries, mainly at the BBC and Channel 4 on programmes such as Panorama, Unreported World and Dispatches.
This work inspired a shift to the NGO sector, and from 2011 Mora worked with Oxfam, Save the Children and Tree Aid, managing campaigns on topics from the biodiversity loss to the UK housing crisis. She then led communications for global youth agency Restless Development, in 2024 producing the ‘Safe’ photography project for the WHO with young photojournalists worldwide, on a new campaign to end violence against children.
Mora has also worked as an Anthropology researcher with forest communities in Indonesia mapping land rights, and with an interdisciplinary research team at the University of Bristol on ‘Find Your Village’; a project tackling urban access to green, social spaces for disadvantaged communities. Most recently, she was Communications Advisor for the AKO Storytelling Institute at the University of the Arts London.
Mora has a Joint First Class Honours in Anthropology and English Literature from the University of Glasgow, and an interdisciplinary Masters of Research (Mres) in Sustainable Futures from the University of Bristol.
