Dr Meghna Chotaliya is an Associate Professor in Accountancy at R.D. National College, HSNC board, University of Mumbai. She is currently engaged in teaching, research, and case development in the areas of financial inclusion, banking development, and environmental accounting. Her work focuses on linking Financial inclusion and regional banking development and quality of life indicators.

She completed her Master’s in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai, and is an alumna of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where she completed a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in 2024 and received a case study grant.

Her research interests include regional disparities in banking development, financial inclusion and its relationship with economic growth—particularly in Asian countries and Indian states—and environmental accounting. She is currently working on research projects examining financial inclusion, banking sector development, and environmental efficiency using advanced quantitative techniques, contributing to both academic research and policy discussion.
