About

Matt Reynolds is a Research Officer working on the European Cities Programme, an initiative focused on the future of European cities. He is currently focusing on how peer research might enable a novel perspective on the enablers and barriers to innovative governance in European cities.

Matt completed his PhD in LSE's Department of Sociology in October 2025, exploring how cleaning and security services maintain London's wealthiest neighbourhoods. Outside of academia, he spent nearly a decade in social research agencies including Ipsos UK and Traverse, where he worked on numerous projects including the Glasgow Citizens' Assembly on the Climate Emergency and a resident engagement programme on Kensington and Chelsea's housing governance following the Grenfell Tower fire.
