Maddy Taylor

Maddy is a Policy Officer at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre).

The TPI Centre provides asset owners and managers with publicly available data on the climate performance of companies, banks and countries. Maddy contributes to assessing the world’s biggest banks on their alignment with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Background

Before joining the TPI Centre, Maddy worked at Climate Policy Initiative on the methodology for the Net Zero Finance Tracker, assessing financial institutions' climate progress across their targets, implementation actions and impact on the real economy. Prior to that, she worked at the Finance for Systemic Change Centre at the University of Cambridge on the design of a corporate bond index excluding energy companies and financial actors contributing to fossil fuel expansion.

Maddy holds an MSc in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Manchester.
